Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Minister for Higher Education and Research, rewards the founders of Mando
In a ceremony at Flemingberg´s Science, the Minister expressed her appreciation that Cecilia Bergh and Per Södersten´s research has been successfully translated into treatment of patients with eating disorders and attached the gold medal of the Royal Patriotic Society of Sweden to their jackets.

The Chairman at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, Karolinska Institutet, Maria Eriksdotter, was impressed that the research has been translated into a treatment that has restored the health of many patients and she was proud that the work has been done at her department.
Many congratulators, including three patients honoured the medallists. Old treatments can be replaced, it´s time for a paradigm shift.
